In 2016, CIMA Research Foundation set up a participative project in the Finale Ligure inland municipalities for the development of a local sustainable development strategy.
In January 2016, the Public-Private Partnership for the establishment of the Local Action Group (GAL) was established and named its stategic project as The Altra Via del Finalese, counting with 11 municipalities in the province of Savona (Bardineto, Boissano, Calizzano, Calice Ligure, Finale Ligure, Giustenice, Orco Feglino, Osiglia, Rialto, Toirano and Vezzi Portio) and some private representatives of the territory.
CIMA Research Foundation played a central role in the analysis of the territorial context discussing it through a series of participatory meetings with the local community to jointly identify potential and future sustainable development lines for the territory.
This efforts resulted in the construction of a Local Development Strategy, compatible and with the economic, social and environmental needs and peculiarities of the territory and taking into account the mitigation and reduction of hydrogeological and forest fires risks.
