For two days, the Foundation can share with the Asian hosts their experience and tools for disaster risk reduction<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Training, exchange of experiences and technologies, and implementation of knowledge are the goals of the visit of the delegation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN \u2013 Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam) to Italy. Hosted by the Italian Civil Protection Department (DPC), and in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the first days of week were spent visiting some of the Centres of Competence of the Department (for more information, read here<\/a>). The week will come to an end with the visit of CIMA Research Foundation and ACROTEC Foundation, which, for two days, will share with their guests, accompanied by Valeria Silvestri from DPC, their experience on disaster risk reduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation\u2019s visit will include the presentation of some of the main tools developed for risk reduction by CIMA Research Foundation and ACROTEC Foundation, such as the integrated system myDEWETRA<\/a>, adopted by the DPC; the RASOR<\/a> tool for risk analysis in a multi-risk context, and ACRONET<\/a>, an environmental monitoring system. Moreover, the researchers will explain their work in supporting the European Emergency Response Coordination Centre within the ARITOTLE-ENHSP Project<\/a> and the functioning of the “Franco Siccardi”<\/a> Operation Centre. Finally, the visit will also include some time with the Department of Planning and Procedures, which will detail the experience of the foundations in participatory approach work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
