\u201cDisasters don\u2019t discriminate, but people do\u2026 disasters reinforce, perpetuate and increase gender inequality, making bad situations worse for women.\u201d<\/em> (UNISDR, 2009)<\/p>\n\n

The Gender Equality Plan is a document required to access the next Horizon call for proposals, yet we at the CIMA Research Foundation also see it as an opportunity for growth and improvement in our work. <\/p>\n\n

Therefore, so that we can jointly embark on a path that is not a mere formality but rather far-reaching, transparent and participatory, here we will be bringing together the state of the art in this path, to be undertaken with input from everyone. We will also be including info material, examples from other institutes and the state of progress in this section.<\/p>\n\n
