The aim of the operations center is to provide technical support to civil protection decision-makers in order to issue meteo-hydrological and wild fire risk warnings, through a conform surveillance.

At CIMA Research Foundation Operations Center are conveyed in real time all the hydro-meteorological information available, where our staff provides the best technical evaluation in order to predict:

  1. The possible evolution of weather conditions and its effects on the soil;
  2. The wild fire risk and it the consequential scenarios;

    3. All the activities are made through a dedicate staff that following certificated procedures in order to better manage data stream and to provide a consecutive evaluation.

    CIMA Research Foundation scientists enforce research activities to bring up-to-date the scenarios and technological upgrading of operational and validation procedures, sensing and computational tools and on the probability of floods, landslides and wild fires. The evaluations are based on the most advanced research and technology instruments and tested in an operational environment.
