ABSTRACT
Unless nuclear substances are involved, the extensions of plumes after industrial accidents are typically of the orders of kilometers; in such circumstances wind field and turbulence in the PBL must be solved at the very fine scale in the complex terrain or urban area. Wind fields at relatively high resolutions are also required for some hydrological models, forest fire propagation model and for estimating general air pollution impact. We will present preliminary results of coupling prognostic (WRF) and diagnostic (CALMET) model.
