Minister Profumo visits the University Campus of Savona

On Thursday, May 24, the Italian Minister of University and Research, Francesco Profumo, visited the University Campus of Savona in order to attend the conference Eco and the City, organized by Siemens. In this occasion, the Minister also visited CIMA Research Foundation Operations Centre.

Franco Siccardi and Luca Ferraris - CIMA Research Foundation President and Vice-president -presented to the Minister and to the Chancellor of the University of Genoa, Prof. Giacomo Deferrari, all activities related to the monitoring and prevention of natural hazards, as daily operated by CIMA Research Foundation staff as a support of the National Civil Protection Department.

Moreover, were also introduced CIMA Research Foundation activities related to cetacean monitoring and its international training projects carried in the north western Mediterranean sea.
