"Observe to predict, predict to prevent." This statement by Galileo Galilei has been the key concept of the activities developed by CIMA Research Foundation. The observation of the Earth is necessary for the monitoring of physical processes and for predicting the scenarios generated by them. Predict to prevent means to use science in the service of Man: for us, that means to translate scientific research into useful tools for the protection of citizen's lives and of the environment.
